Vainu offers company data to B2B go-to-market teams to help them reach the right prospects and keep their CRM systems up to date. Sales-led from its beginning, the company is now embracing product-led growth while continuing its bootstrapped operations. On this journey, I collaborate across teams to drive these efforts:
- make the new usage-based pricing transparent, clear, and predictable
- build self-serve customer experiences
- standardize our design system.
This includes working across teams, from Product to RevOps to DevOps to marketing, to:
- introduce a pricing calculator on our website to help prospects & customers estimate cost
- introduce a usage dashboard and real-time notifications to help customers track usage
- kickstart user analytics
- automate parts of user onboarding
- automate admin & promotional user notifications
- clean up user permissions to prepare for role-based access control and self-serve user management
- drive product-wide UX improvements with a focus on consistency and scalability
- sync design tokens between Figma & the frontend codebase.
Crossing the chasm

Originally popularized by seasoned DevOps and backend engineers, Grafana eventually became mainstream. Today its SaaS product serves a new generation of engineers who need beginner-friendly tools. My team helped onboard new users and guide them towards success, leading to a boost in activation and free-to-paid conversion rates.

Aiven helps developers build cloud infrastructure using open-source services. In a joint effort by marketing, data, and product teams, I helped launch their first user onboarding experiment. My team employed a 3rd-party tool to try ideas quickly, measure results, learn, and iterate.
